Case Description
I'd like to do the Damon system but can't seem to find any Delta PPO orthodontists who work with the Damon system. So I'd appreciate some suggestions. Also, is it really faster? And how much does it normally cost without insurance discounts? Thanks for your help.

When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:

  • Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors. Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

I doubt you will find a dentist who accepts a reduced fee of 50% or more by participation in a PPO, who will buy one of the most expensive brackets on the market such as the Damon system.

The self ligating brackets, regardless of the manufacturer are more expensive but they do increase the treatment time significantly.

Use of such brackets in conjunction with ortho mini screws is the new way of doing orthodontics these days.
