Patient Review 1:

I am a dental chicken, so when I saw Dr Nolan's specialty I decided to try him out, after many years of avoiding dentists. I needed a fair bit of work done, and he got it all done in one afternoon, giving me some anti-anxiety meds to make the experience less stressful. It was a stress-free experience and I'm glad I had the work done. I recently had to go for some root canal work, and the endodontist commented that the crowns I had were very well done, so I will take that as a sign that he does good work. He is very professional and friendly to patients.
About Hygienist: The deep cleaning I had done was so painful I cried in the chair. I didn't get the impression she knew how to do the procedure properly. This hygienist caused me to move to a different dentist, who has a great hygienist who did a better cleaning with no pain.
Treatment Length with Dr. Nolan: 6 years.

Patient Review 2:

Dr. Nolan is a top notch DENTIST. A+ As a dentist he is very professional and explains everything to you and shows you your teeth close-up with digital still photos. Explaining the problems and possible treatments. The very best things is he does NOT do unnecessary procedures and over charge you. You get the dental work you really need done. Dr. Nolan goes out of his way to make sure you are numbed, so you'll feel NO PAIN. Over 20 years of dental experience is the difference. Dr. Nolan has one of the most outstanding assistants in Debbie, I can not say enough about how wonderful and professional she is, going out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and taken care of #1. If you need a GREAT PAINLESS DENTIST I recommend Dr. Robert Nolan and his staff for the job.
Treatment Length with Dr. Nolan: 6 years.

Patient Review 3:

Dr. Nolan and his Staff are so friendly, they make you feel as if you know them for ten years after just one visit...so for me - it feels like 22 years now! ;-) Since I have been under his care, I have only really needed regular cleanings and occasional fillings. He and his Staff's recommendations as far as proper brushing, flossing, personal dental habits and care, and the quality of this Office's procedures have enabled me to keep all 32 of my adult teeth, and I am approaching my 41st birthday! This Office has been operating in the same location for over 25 years, which is a testiment in itself! Within the past year however, I have encountered a bit of bad luck, having split two of my molars in a Restaurant while eating meatloaf which had a bone fragment in it! It is my belief, that had it not been for Dr. Nolan's quick response in treating me, I may have lost use of one or both of these teeth. It was necessary to have both of the affected molars crowned, along with a root canal to one of them. Before Dr. Nolan's repairs, the pain was so terrific, I couldn't chew on a cheese puff without hitting the ceiling! While no one can predict the future, I for now and the foreseeable future - have at least achieved a 97% improvement in my discomfort and normal use of these once heavily damaged teeth! So I again have use of 32 adult teeth firmly in place with their original roots in my jawbones thanks in no small part to Dr. Nolan and his fine Staff, whom I consider my Dental Chicken Friends!

Patient Review 4:

i first went to dr. nolan referred by my tennis instructor. My mouth was not in very good shape. I had ignored my teeth for about 10 years. I was nervous and afraid. I had my complete mouth redone including my front teeth. I am now so glad i did the work. Dr. Nolan explained everything to me. He got started right away and i did not have to wait. It was amazing to see the x-rays of my teeth on the high tech equipment., on a 17 inch monitor within seconds , along with digital photos of my mouth. Dr. Nolan and his staff helped reduce my anxiety and stress. He gave me some medicine to relay and it worked great. The time went by so fast. When i left i had beautiful teeth. I cannot believe the difference. I wish i had found dr. nolan and his staff about 20 years ago. I was also very impressed with how clean the office is. Now i go regularly to the dentist.

Patient Review 5:

I only had my X-ray of 1 tooth that is in need of a future root canal. The assistant took my X-ray it was all digital came up on the computer immediately after. No cost for this and I even received a free consultation with Dr. Nolan right after with all the details and cost of my root canal. I will go back to his office when I'm ready he understand my special needs due to my TMJ, which usually I have to pay extra for a dental surgeon in the past. While Dr. Nolan can help me in 1 visit and takes my insurance too. I really like his staff too very kind and expain things clearly too!!! Thanks, Shannon G.

Patient Review 6:

I had a dental emergency with a lot of pain. I called Dr. Nolan and he got me in within 2 hours. He gave me medication immediately to relieve the pain and help me relax. He proceeded to work on 3 of my teeth at that first appointment. I ended up getting 3 new crowns. I have 13 crowns in my mouth and all I can remember is how painful they were. Dr. Nolan put 3 more in my mouth and I never experienced any pain from those. It was the most calming, relaxing, dental visit I have ever been to.I am very happy with my new crowns and have not had any problems with them. I would absolutely go back to him and refer him to my friends and family.Thank you Dr. NolanCarolyn Elkind

Patient Review 7:

I hadn't gone to a dentist in years out of fear and avoidance. I went to Dr Nolan after seeing his advertising to "dental chickens" and found that he means that. I needed a number of crowns and fillings, and he did it all in 2 sessions with me sedated enough that I felt no fear at all. I had no pain, the staff helped so much with relieving my anxiety and making me comfortable. They also helped me maximize my insurance coverage as well as help me book appointments; when the Dr was running late the receptionist called me to fine-tune my arrival. Very courteous and warm, they all seemed to really care about my comfort and be at ease with a phobic patient. No one ever made me feel bad about my teeth/mouth--even after looking inside. The hi-tech camera for x-rays was very cool! And I got the sense that Dr Nolan and his assistant are real pros at what they're doing, and know what they're doing advertising for us Dental Chickens. My crowns and fillings are all completed and I can hardly believe it---they look and feel great. I won't be waiting as long again---that's a big relief.

Patient Review 8:

I hadn't been to a dentist in 4 years because I am a dental chicken. Dr Nolan's office is very comfortable and his staff is very friendly. At my first appt. I found out I needed alot of work. I was so scared that I was actually shaking but Dr Nolan kept re-assuring me and gave me a few options on how and when to get the work done. I chickened out and opted to have a tooth extraction done first which was urgent. A few months later my tooth reminded me that I needed to get a crown on it because it was broken and infected but since I waited too long I ended up having a root canal done. Dr Nolan tried very hard to avoid doing the root canal but with all his hi-tech equipt. he was able to show me all the damage that was done to the tooth and explained what was going on very carefully to me. In fact, all throughout the procedure which I opted to have done in 3 visits he explained what he was doing and kept asking me how I was doing. I thought I'd need nitrous oxide but all I had was novocain and didn't feel anything beyond the novocain needle. I never had to take any of the prescription Dr Nolan gave me after the procedure. I look forward to getting the rest of my teeth fixed correctly and highly recommend Dr Nolan. -Patty D

Patient Review 10:

i was very afraid of going to the dentist as i had not been in over 8 years. I was so ashamed to say this. But the dentist i had as a child was awful. I was referred to dr. nolan from another dental chicken. I went in to see dr. nolan and they took me in right away. The front office person made me feel right at home. I did not have to wait at all. The assistant, Debbie was very kind and considerate that i was so nervous. They took x-rays that i could see on a computer right away. That was amazing. When i saw dr. nolan he had a pleasant bedside manner. He explained everything to me. He took photos of my mouth and spent about one hour going over everything on my initial consultation. I needed two crowns and two veneers to improve my smile. I made a second appointment to do the treatment. I thought he was expensive as i went to several other dentists over the years who were cheaper but i never went back because of my fear. Dr. Nolan put me to sleep and when the procedure was over i had a great smile. I was sore after the visit but it was worth it. Laura B.
